Huawei, one of the world's leading providers of information and communication technology, to the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas announced the Huawei MediaPad in the future as one of the first tablets running Android 4.0 "ice cream sandwich" to deliver. It was the first tablet with a 7-inch display and Android 3.2 already at the launch of Huawei MediaPads in June 2011. Now Huawei allows the user again, to take advantage of the latest Android operating system and the latest services and apps of the Android marketplace.
Huawei has also announced the Huawei MediaPad color series: stylish tablets in three colors: black, Brown and pink. All variations have a high-quality display with a resolution of 1280 × 800 pixels at 227 DPI and HD video with 1080p support. The Huawei MediaPads have a Qualcomm-dual-core processor with 1.2 GHz and a maturity of more than six hours.

The new Huawei MediaPad color series and the Huawei MediaPad with Android 4.0 are available in the first quarter of 2012. Users who already have a MediaPad, then automatically receive an upgrade to Android 4.0.
